ANOTHER UPDATE

i think i should start titling my updates or something.. the title seems quite boring...

anyways.. this week so far.. i've been so busy i couldn't go online (not that i do go on a lot) or facebook or blog much...... work work work.. why? sigh... 43 days left. but i got my design final project on tuesday.. it sounds pretty awesome and i'm really excited .. i'll do another week by week picture thing.. i just finished 3D like an 1 1/2 hours ago.. its pretty cool.. i'll do another picture upload friday or something.. I DON'T HAVE DRAWING STUDIO ON FRIDAY! so i'm gonna wake up late and get a head start on homework. wow do i sound like a nerd.. i don't care .. i just want to get work done and over with.....

1 artist that i found out about this past week.. martin johnson heade.. AN AMAZING PAINTER .. his landscapes blew me away. his seascapes were even better.. also a photographer i really like: William Eugene Smith .. although his picture mostly revolve around WWII, his "walk to paradise garden" is beautiful.. much more different and captures the essence of hope after the war (which was when it was taken)

also.. i was looking up at the sky the other day and realized it was massive and i was very small.. but then i thought if God is bigger than the sky, how much more great and awesome is He? it seems like (to me) that i see and feel God the most on days where i stop to appreciate nature, His perfect creation.. i wonder how He did it.. God = perfect designer.. i pretty much look up to Him for inspiration :)

I WISH EVERYDAY WAS LIKE TODAY

so today was pretty relaxing :) i went to class till around 1, had lunch and then started on my 3D project.. i did most of it and so now all i need to do is put it together and make sure it works haha :) hopefully it will....... we'll see but i finished around 6 so after i had some 햇반 and watched drams and shows that i had piled up ... it was nice catching up and having my own time ;) so i wish every day left for my freshman year of college at risd (i can't believe its almost over 44 more days - counting weekends) was like today..

twitter is fun .. go make one so i can follow you and you can follow me :D

and i saw this a while back and i wanted to post about it but it kinda made me tear up.. i watched it right after i got back to school from break.. so made me really miss my mom .. yeah.. watch it~ ^^

idk why this is such a weird size.. anyone know how to fix it?

MMM... LET'S SEE...

so today is saturday.. and i didn't have to paint! it was a nice break~ but i did have to go to the library and get some books for my final design project and revise my essay and start writing my rewrite for my other essay... so it was mostly liberal arts work today.. not too bad.. i didn't mind it... academics is definitely easier on the body than art is... i can say that for sure!

lately my 허리.. like my whole lower back area.. has been killing me. literally. it hurts to sit so much.. and thats what i mostly do at school.. sit and do art.. so its a killer.. right now though i have a really comfortable back pillow so my upper back doesn't hurt.. but my lower back is starting to get uncomfortable... i'm pretty sure its the mattress that i have in my dorm.. its really really uncomfortable.. super 불편해 ... one of my friends had the same problem too she moved it under her bed.. i'm planning to get rid of it that way too .. so i'll update on the status of that later...

also.. twitter is pretty okay.. its pretty cool.. it kinda makes me feel like i'm writing mini posts of how i'm feeling or what i'm thinking about throughout the day.. hehe plus the best part about it is that i can follow 동해 :D ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ laugh at me if you must.. i don't care because i'm pretty happy :)

2D COMPLETE!

so like i promised here's my final 2D midterm project that took all of the first half of the 2nd semester.. now onto the final project.. my teacher only assigned us 2 projects this whole semester.. still i learned so much.. he's pretty awesome :)

and a picture i took while we were waiting in line for the merry-go-round..i like it.. you don't have to.. and honestly.. it was pretty fun hanging out with the fam. the wholee day thanks to sam :)

SO ....

so here's the deal:

since i got back to RISD i've been loaded with work! i wanted to blog a post about how difficult life was and how my finally completed design project looks like.. but i didn't have the time.. but all i needed to do was stick it out till wednesday and i knew things would be looking better..

but here was my week after spring break:

after i landed in providence on sunday i went straight to my dorm, had church by myself (it was easter and i was kinda late to catch the van that went to church) and sat at my desk painting away for the rest of the day ...

monday: i found out i have to rewrite one of my essays for my art history class.. i thought it was due on wednesday (same day as my midterm) so i freaked out .. but thankfully i found out it's gonna be due after the midterm. i needed to write an essay for my other class that i didn't even start.. and had to finish my design painting, start my 3D project (due thursday - today), and start drawing homework...

tues: wrote my essay for my social history class for the next class (wednesday) and study for my midterm for african art history. Now studying for this class meant studying i think 56 images: their title, date, location, medium, style, culture, and facts about them, and then getting tested on only 8 of them.. and writing an essay comparing 2 art pieces and their aesthetics.... but i don't think i did well.. i mixed a couple of the dates and cultures..... :( i wish i had like 2 more hours and i could've done so much better.. ahh kinda sucked.. whatever.. its over now.. i'll just do better on my final..

wednesday: all is done, midterm, essay, and 3D project left.. that went by really fast.. cuz i carved something out of clay while watching drama :) only took like 3 dramas to finish.. so a little over 3 hours :D dramas come in handy in these situations.. and finally i felt like for the first time since break that i was on top of all my work so i went to Brown's gym to exercise :)

that's been my week so far.. and now i have a new 3D project dealing with kinetic energy and motion.... i'm pretty excited for it!

* i'll upload my pics from my design project later.. i have to go to class now :)

** i like the size of this font so i'm gonna keep it :) its bigger and still looks okay haha
